Can't sync with my HTC M9 after the update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just so i am clear on this, i do not have any of the new tabs available on my phone dashboard or computer dashboard, no Today no Discover no Community, my HTC M9 worked just fine with no problems from the day i set up my fitbit in 2017 until the update on April 30, yes i have turned my phone off then on, Bluetooth off and on, delete app and reinstall, reset Fitbit, tried a couple of different fixes in the help section, logged out then back in on the website but it doesn't work!!!! I cant add tabs it still wont sync, the only thing i havent tried is setting up my Fitbit again, but i doubt that will work since nothing else does. is there a fix for this? why 'fix' something that was working just fine? If there is no fix for this do i just throw it in the trash and get something that does work? Some real help would be appreciated.

Hi @Foureyz nice to see you here on the Forums.

Thanks for sharing all this details with us. We appreciate your feedback about the Fitbit app and about the issues that you've been encountering when trying to sync with your Fitbit device.

The latest Android should be affecting functionality of the Fitbit app. Thanks for checking the Fitbit articles and trying some steps. Can you please confirm if your phone is running the latest software update? I'd like to see an screenshot of what you're getting on the Fitbit App. What tabs are you trying to add? Usually uninstalling and reinstalling the app helps to fix this type of issues.

Depending your phone, these tips might make syncing easier:

  • Turn on the Always Connected option in the Fitbit app. This setting improves the Bluetooth connection between your phone and Fitbit device. Note that turning on this feature may cause the battery on your Fitbit device to drain more quickly than normal.
  • Turn on All-Day Sync in the Fitbit app. This setting prompts your Fitbit device to periodically sync with the Fitbit app but may shorten battery life on your phone or Fitbit device.

If your Fitbit device still won't sync, restart your Fitbit. Then try to remove your Fitbit device from your account and from the Bluetooth settings or your phone. Finally, set it up as a new device.

I'll be around.

Same problem here. I also have a HTC One M9. Went to bed on the 15th and it was fine. Got up on the 16th and nothing would sync. I did all the usual things on my mobile (log out/log in, bluetooth off/on, uninstall/reinstall app) and when that didn't work I tried to sync using the dongle in the laptop. Still didn't work.
The fitbit reply suggested restarting my device (I have an Alta HR). So I followed the steps here https://www.imore.com/how-restart-your-fitbit-tracker and everything is working again.
Good luck.

K.
