Can’t upload pictures in groups or my profile on the Fitbit app

I've been in touch with fitbit support in DM on X but I have not heard back for 3 days. 
I have not been able to change my profile picture, my background picture but for me most importantly post a picture in groups
I have an Android Galaxy 10 Version 12
I have been able to post pictures, badges etc since 2017 until about a week ago. I have the latest version 4.32 and my phone is up to date
 
It just keeps saying I don't have permissions set but I do.. nothing has changed and I've force stopped...uninstalled...restarted phone all of it
 
Please help I'm sure it's the fitbit app as it's always worked until the update and everything else works fine and at the Google store it says it's compatible.. well it has to be or other things wouldn't work

I can't change profile picture using website either.  The steps work but the image doesn't update at the end of the process.

I think you can only change it on the app.. then it will change here.. my problem is with the app groups and my profile and background picture there

This may be the stupid way, but in the past, I've removed the affected permission. Then when starting the app, get promoted to grant permission. Or removed all permissions

@MarioSFitbit The ability to change profile pic still doesn't work for me.  Don't worry about it though because I've moved on.

@MarioSFitbit Samsung S10 Version 12 I’ve already shared all the information to Fitbit support on X in DM 

I’ve chatting with them since the end of December and this is their last response: 

Our team is updated and notified of this issue. We don't have a time frame that we can give, but this will be taken care of as quickly as possible. I appreciate your patience.

I appreciate your messages, and I'm sorry to hear the issue continues. Thank you for your feedback. This is definitely not the experience we want with our users. 

I want to inform you that our developers team are aware of this issue about the ability to change profile picture and looking for a solution. 
I will keep you informed here about any news on the matter.
