Cannot Modify Recorded Exercise

I haven't used the Fitbit app since the original Charge, needless to say their have been a lot of improvements. I am currently using the Pixel Watch 2 and have been recording my runs on the Treadmill. Distance is of course never 100% accurate between Watch and Treadmill. I went to modify the exercise in the Fitbit app, but it never saved my change. This is a pretty serious bug that is making me regret changing from Samsung Watch to Pixel Watch. To me, this should be a very minor fix for a huge SW company that is Google. Is this maybe a fix in a beta version of the app? I am currently running 4.21 on Android Pixel 8 Pro.

Hi, @Allbutcooked welcome to the community, I'm using a PW2 & Pixel 8 pro on 4.21. I swim daily, editing data is possible by touching the bottom section of "Exercise days" in the "Today" screen of the app where your initial record appears>editing pen in the top right>make the changes you need and>SAVE. If this does not produce the result you want note the details of your exercise, delete the exercise & touch the floating "+" in the bottom right of the "Today" screen>Manually log>activity>search bar for the treadmill if not displayed & move forward from there.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Hi @Gr4ndp4 ,

Thank you so much for your reply and welcome. I was probably a little harsh to the PW2. I really like the hardware and integration to the Pixel 8 Pro.

I had tried your exact method when it came to modifying the treadmill exercise. When I go to save the change, it looks like is going to take, but reverts back to the old distance. Maybe it is some exercises, but not others it does this? I saw a new update came out this morning (4.22.2) and that still did not correct my issue.

I had thought about manually entering the exercise, but thought I would lose my heart rate data for the exercise.
