Cannot see posts from friends in a closed group

I've created a closed group with my friends on the android fitbit app. I am able to make posts in this group but I am unable to view posts from other people in the group. All of my friends are also only able to see my posts (and not each other's posts). Essentially, only my posts are visible to everyone in the group and everyone else's posts are not visible to anyone.

I have also recently installed the app and I am baffled to find out how clunky the experience is
