Cannot set up my new Alta with Droid Maxx

So excited about my Fitbit Alta today, but it won't connect to my mobile app, so I'm a bit frustrated.  

 

When I try to connect, bluetooth is definitely on, has been restarted numerous times, but to no avail.  

 

The mobile app will not recognize my fitbit. 😞  

 

Model Number- Droid Maxx

 

Android version- 4.4.4

 

System version- 24.21.7.obake-maxx_verizon.Verizon.en.US

 

Please help!

Hi there @bgrandy3 and welcome aboard to our Community. I wonder if you are seeing some sort of error while you try to set up the tracker using the Fitbit app? 

 

I would like to review the steps with you to make sure we are covering the entire process. 

So the first thing I do was to review the list of compatible devices and it seems your mobile device is compatible. So I recommend to follow the steps for set up a tracker of this video

 

If the issue still persist, I don't know if is possible to try with a computer. In either case the process is not too different beside a few other additional steps but here is the process to follow in this other video.
