Trying to add my new HRcharge to phone  - galaxy A5. Will not connect. Have had no issues with previous 2 HRs . Have gone through all the trouble shooting problems to no avail. My old HR worked fine on A5 up to last week.....wouldnt have replaced it if I knew there were problems. Grrřrr! Any advice/suggestions please

Only way to sync is to restart my phone.

Also, call notifications not working.

Phone used to work fine with a fitbit surge. Checked various settings (Do not disturb etc) to no avail...

Welcome to the Forums @Marksfoster and @Nerms.

It is very possible that this is happening because the Galaxy A5 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app is not fully optimized to work with that phone.

There have also been several recent updates to the app, which could've caused further incompatibility issues. It is possible that it can work as long as the phone fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, but we cannot guarantee it. If you haven't, some users have mentioned that following the steps in this article has helped them when using phones that aren't on the list. Maybe you could give it a shot.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Finally got it to pair with phone....reset my old fitbit and it seemed to
do the trick. Never had an issue with phone before. But all sorted now.
Thanks
