Cant log food items

For the last couple of days every time I click to add food to the food log on the Android app, and then either click on a previously added food item or search for and select a new food item, the app just goes back to the food log page without adding anything. This functionality works fine when I try adding it on the website. The app last updated on the 4th February. What information do you need to investigate?

I have completely uninstalled the app and reinstalled and now it seems to
work.
