Cant pair with my phone nor sync with my fitbit

I'm having issue with my Fitbit connecting to the app and my phone. I've been have bluetooth and sync issue for the past year and just now got around to it. I've tried connecting the Fitbit to my bluetooth and it's not connecting, I've also tried syncing it in the app but that also doesn't work. I've tried rebooting it as it said (hit the button on the charger 3 times within 4 seconds) but nothing happens, it just turns off charging once I hit the button. My Fitbit still continues to work on my wrist but on the app nothing is updated. Any suggestions?

I've tried restarting my device as well. I've got the latest update that is available for my phone which is a Samsung galaxy j7v 2017.
