Changing which notifications we get

Is there a way to change which types of notifications the app triggers on my phone? Most of the notifications I get I don't care about and I don't get notifications for things I'd like notifications for.

I don't care that 'Jane just passed Jon'. I'm not Jane nor Jon. But yet if someone makes a comment on a challenge like, "You're doing great Drew" I don't get anything. I've missed multiple comments simply because I didn't open the challenge and scroll up to look for them (through all the pointless "this person passed that person" messages). Another pointless notification is the "Jon cheered Jane's achievement" type.  I don't want those.

I get that those types of notifications are to try to get me engaged but with 80% of the notifications being those pointless ones it does the opposite... I'm going to clear them without reading or turn notifications off.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community Woman Very Happy @DrewggThank you for your suggestion about implementing this in the Challenges. We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers. The best place to make your voice heard is the Ideas board on our community, which our product development teams consult regularly to ensure we're delivering on what our customers need and want. In addition, as you may know Fitbit keeps you updated on the challenge by sending push notifications or email. To choose one, both, or neither:

  1. Log in to your fitbit.com dashboard and click the gear icon in the top right.
  2. Click Settings > Notifications.
  3. Find Challenges and uncheck the notification(s) you no longer want.
  4. Don't forget to click Save.

Thank you so much for your feedback and for participating in our community!
