When I first used the Charge 2 last week it mapped route and info for my ride. But since then it has failed to map the full route! I press the button on bike it starts to time it, but when I complete it has missed most of it. Today I did 25.5km and it logged 0.79km. So frustrating, can anyone help please.

@Liz3bts, that indicates that something is happening to cause the tracker to lose the Bluetooth/GPS connection with the phone. Has something happened that the phone is not able to see the satellites, or has Bluetooth conflicts that cause it to disconnect?

Thanks for your reply. I am not aware of any issues with the phone picking up GPS, I turned off the Wi-Fi and checked that the charge 2 was still paired with the phone, it is a Samsung Galaxy J6.

I am having the same issues, it is starting to happen more and more. I have found most times to get it to correct itself I will turn off bluetooth on the phone and turn it back on. But I have several other bluetooth enabled devices as well and I have "never" had an issue with any of them connecting and "staying" connected. Going to start looking for an alternative to the Charge 2 as I want "accuracy" when I am tracking my rides. I am tracking them for a reason and I do not need some device bombing out on my workouts.

Hi I am having the same issue. I cycle on the rod then onto a forest track. Last week it did the whole thing but since then only part of the road. The only difference is I had the phone in my back pocket the first time. Then frightened I'd loose it I put it in my bike carrier behind me. Could that be the reason?

back pocket or into a pack may cause issues with the blue tooth connecting.
I got a phone cradle for the handle bars that securely holds the phone
during my rides, and it also keeps the two devices near each other.

I have ordered a cradle but today I put on a shoulder bag, Again it logged all the street riding I did, but not the hard bit through the forest. Yet the bag was in the same place. Very frustrating. I hope having it on the handlebars will make a better connection.

Well I got a cradle for my phone. If I use Samsung Health it tracks my bike ride through the forest and on the road. However, If I just use my fitbit and have my phone close by it still only tracks a little part of my ride 1.7km in 40 mins !!! when I am doing closer to 8 over a rough track. So it is annoying. I wonder why the fitbit can't map the route when other apps can.
Another question is if I use other apps like Myfitnesspal or the Samsung health do the overlapping results all get recorded so I have 2 walks or 2 bike rides or does fitbit recognise that they are the same event?.
