Hello.
I got the Charge 2 for Christmas, and used the HR for a couple years before. Previously, I would track my biking or manually enter my swimming and it would add steps onto my daily count. Now, for example, I do martial arts which are very physically demanding and obviously involve a lot of steps but I can't wear my Charge 2 during my classes. When I enter 1 hour of martial arts in the app, and set the intensity level to high, the app adds 0 steps to my daily count. This doesn't seem right. It will neglect to add steps during tracking my sessions on the stationary bike as well. Could you please tell me if I missed a setting or this is how it'll be now? Thank you.

Hi @JankaJonas, let me tell you how nice is to have you here in our Community. There are different activities that are not entirely step based, with the other activities you mentioned, I wonder if you were wearing your tracker?
I'm asking this, because when you wear your tracker, it will read some of your steps and when you create a manual activity, this might include those steps from your tracker. With martial arts since you have to remove your tracker, there are no steps it can be included in your manual activity. Although generally speaking not all manual activities will give you steps and Martial arts is one of this activities.
I made this exercise using my own Dashboard and as you can see I don't have steps either.
Manual activities help to improve the accuracy of this activity's contribution to your caloric burn.
Hope this helps, let me know if you have additional questions.

Hi Roberto,
Thank you for your response. So, am I understanding correctly that I just have to accept that some activities will not add steps? Even though there were steps involved, I just didn't wear my tracker? I wore my tracker while on my bike (though I have not yet done so with the Charge 2) and it would add a considerable amount of steps to the daily total. I have a desk job and it just looks so disappointing that I have such few steps even after an hour of hard exercise. Is there less of a focus now on step count with the updated app?

Hi @JankaJonas, the focus of steps has not changed with the latest update of the app.
As I mentioned earlier on my other post, it will depend of the exercise. In this case, Martial Arts will not recognized steps as an isolated activity, so it wont be included in the exercise log. Although if you wear your tracker, the steps will be available as an overall count. In the scenario that your tracker is not used during the activity these steps wont be recognized since there is not a source (tracker) from where your account can get this information.
Hope this clarify a little bit more your query and if you need more help, just let me know.
