Charge 2 was paired happily with a Samsung Galaxy A3 2017. Now got a new Galaxy A40 and it won't pair properly. It repeatedly gets to the stage where we enter the 4 digit code but then fails. Tried all the usual switching on and off and reinstalling the app etc etc etc. Can't believe it's this hard when should be so simple. Someone help please?
Thanks in advance

Hi and thanks for quick response. The A40 isn't on the list but neither is the A3 that it has replaced. The Android OS is version 9 so by that standard should be okay with the Charge 2.

Make sure you have updated to the latest 3.6 version of the Fitbit app that was released yesterday.
You could also try this guide:

Furthermore:
Not sure if this could help you, but if you have a Samsung Android phone (or any Android phone, actually) you could also try going into the "Optimise Battery Usage" settings and make sure that the following three are disabled (meaning: NOT optimised. Just make sure to turn the switch off )
- Bluetooth
- Bluetooth Midi Service
- BluetoothTest
This procedure has helped me in the past with a bluetooth handsfree that could not pair and work correctly with my Galaxy S7.

Thank you very much, I will try that.
