Android 8, Fitbit Charge 2, brand new. Synced perfectly on arrival this morning, then red exclamation mark and pairing lost. Tried everything suggested but no luck in re-establishing contact with my phone. Syncing fine with ipad and samsung tablet in different rooms. What to do? Send it back?

Hello @SunsetRunner.

The Fitbit is paired to your Fitbit account. From that point, it can sync with any device that is compatible and has the Fitbit app. However when it bonds with a particular phone it causes it to stop syncing with other devices.

This bond can happen you set up notifications or turn on the Always Conected or All-Day Sync options. In that regard, the Fitbit can only bond with one device while said device is nearby.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Welcome to the Forums @SunsetRunner.

Thanks for bringing this up and testing with the tablets to get it to sync. Let's try to get it working again.

From what you are saying, it seems like the Charge 2 might have bonded to your tablets and that is preventing it to sync with the phone. Let's try turning the Bluetooth off on the tablets and then give it another shot with the phone.

Please keep me posted on how it goes or if there are any further questions.
