Charge 3 setup

I am trying to set up a new charge 3 via android app. It is not recognised at all. The device is fully charged, I have turned on and off Bluetooth. Turned off every other Bluetooth device in the house uninstalled and reinstalled the app. The charge itself just has a welcome screen with fitbit symbol and www.fitbit.com/setup on it which is ridiculous as you can't set up a charge 3 there. I have tried resetting the device by holding down the button but nothing happens assuming as it's never been set up in the first place. Any advice before I return it and give up on fitbits altogether??

My daughter bought me charge 3 for Xmas.   Shame I can't get it to work.   Same problem as you

I've emailed the company I bought it from. They're sending me a replacement.
