I got a new charge 4 today to replace my alta hr. When I try to set it up the app says I can't because I am in android 6.0, however I checked my phone was compatible prior to purchasing the charge and it is as it is a huawei p30 lite. I also checked the operating system and it is on android 10. I don't have an iPhone or any other means of connecting so what am I supposed to do

Hi @Tiff74 system 7 has been required for a while. Since you have an Android phone, I'm going to move this to that area of the forum for more relevant responses. You might want to do a search for posts that might mention your phone. Meanwhile, if you can just set up on a friend's phone, you might be able to use your phone.
here is something a moderator posted about phones being compatible:
"Please note that your phone or tablet is not on our list of compatible devices. We confirmed that the devices on this list are fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.
We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone or tablet meets the minimum operating system requirements.
If your phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, we provide assistance and troubleshooting steps. Because your phone or tablet is not fully compatible with Fitbit devices, we can't guarantee syncing and other Fitbit features. "

My phone is compatible. I checked before buying the charge 4. It runs on android 10 and was originally on 9, above the lowest required level. Equally I have been using the app on my phone with my alta hr for 18 months so the compatibility is not the question. Rather the question should be why is the charge 4 so bloody hard to set up? Pages and pages of people claiming the same thing. I am far from happy and thinking about returning it.

Hi @Tiff74, welcome to the Community Forums.
First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device. Then, you can move forward and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.
@Odyssey13 Thanks for the information that was shared in your post.
Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

I have done all the troubleshooting a number of times am getting frustrated with this now. I know my phone is on the correct operating system, I also know my phone is compatible. There are no software updates nor are there any app updates so why do I keep getting the same message and being taken to the same pages and no one seems able or willing to help. Massively frustrating to be told the same thing over and over again when you already know that is not the problem

Your reply is appreciated @Tiff74.
I understand how frustrating this situation can be for you but keep in mind that my only intention is to help you with this. To further investigate, please send me a screenshot of the error message you receive at the moment you try to setup your Charge 4 and another one of your Huawei P30 Lite Android version. Please go to your phone's setting >. system > about phone and send me a screenshot of that.
Looking forward to your reply.
