March 2022 I bought a Charge 5 to track my heart. August 2022 it stopped working and still wouldn't do anything even charged at 100%
I was recently given another nrw Charge 5 as a gift. I've been trying for a week and it still will not pair with my Samsung Galaxy S7. I don't get any error messages, just the red X on the Charge 5 and "try again" from the app.
The only answers I've found in this forum are from April or before trying to say it wouldn't work on my phone, yet it did up until the Charge 5 stopped working (no issue with the app itself) 3 months ago, however they were deemed "Best Answer" (with information contrary to my personal experiences well after those "Best Answer"s were posted) by the "moderator" who wrote them, and the forums were closed.
Is this essentially the 2nd Fitbit Charge 5 with something wrong with it in 6 months?!
I've followed the steps, there is memory on my phone, the app is downloaded and has no issue, so what gives?
Moderator edit: Subject for clarity.

@Workalready Welcome to the forums. I will gladly help you set up your new Charge 5 with your Samsung Galaxy S7.
Thanks for the explanation and what you have tried so far. Would you be so kind to tell me which Android version does your Samsung Galaxy S7 have? Fitbit supports Android 8 and above. According to Google this smartphone was launched with Android 6.0 but it could be upgraded. That could be a reason why.
Regardless I suggest you take a look at the following article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?. Please also check if Charge 5 is shown on the Bluetooth "known devices" of your smartphone. Please remove it and then try the set up again.

I have the same problem. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 with Android 8 and pairing does not work. Is there a solution?

I had to touch my charge 5 and Galays S7 together during the pairing process. If they were a mereago 1/2 foot apart it wouldn't connect.
Got my charge 5 a couple weeks ago. Only reason why I remember doing this. I hope it works for you.
