Wow! Have I had enough, the frustration is going to kill me! I've had a Charge 5 for less then five months a few weeks ago I had an issue which was resolved by changing the clock face however I woke up this morning to a blank white screen, I have tried to change the clock face again, tried the charger reset, uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing has worked, I've never encountered such bad customer service, getting in touch with anyone who is actually working for Fitbit is impossible, it's almost as if they are trying to distance themselves from resolving issues. I am so disappointed and angry and I will be making sure I write appropriate reviews anywhere and everywhere 😡😡😡

I can completely understand your frustration. I see you have done multiple troubleshooting procedures to try and resolve the white screen issue and the attempts have failed.


The thought of just setting your Fitbit Charge 5 as a new device crossed my mind but after a bit of research I don’t believe that will help either. Apparently after trying to set it up as a new device the pairing code needed to be viewed from the watch face can’t be seen due to the screen still remaining white. I understand your frustration with reaching out to Fitbit Customer Service based on your post. Unfortunately contacting them is the only way to address the issues as well as your warranty options. 

I do hope you get this sorted out and hopefully get back up and running again with either a fix offered by Fitbit Customer Service or a replacement of your current Charge 5. I hope my post helps in someway. Please let me know

Thanks for your reply, yes I did try a complete delete and reset but of
course couldn't get the code to enter as there is no readout on the screen,
I've opened a case via Twitter and been given a case number but according
to many posts I've seen people wait months with just a number and no
resolution so I'm not hopeful although I will continue to message them once
a week to remind them how disappointed I am.

I gave up on the Charge 5 today, horrible product quality.  Over the months I've been through gps issues, battery draining issues, and now the permanent black screen even though it tracks my steps and syncs with the phone.

Same! Mine was still syncing and tracking but not much good when the
tracker has a blank screen I'm regretting buying this piece of crap so much
but I'm not going to let this go, the thing cost me £135 less then five months ago
and I want it replacing or my money back.

Ever since the upgrade I have lost all vibrations on my charge 5.today I have apparently lost the charging on it. Every morning I put it on the charger yo charge whileI am showering. I have tried 4 different chargers today and cannot get it to charge. Very disappointed.

Hello @Mamaspoon 

 

You can try rebooting  your Charge 5 to see if that helps. Just swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app (gear wheel) and tap it. Then scroll down and tap Restart Device then tap Restart.

I cannot do that. I rebooted it yesterday and now I cannot get enough of a
charge on it to see the screen to reboot it.
