Charge HR Not Connecting with Galaxy S7

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge HR stopped connecting with my phone... I had not worn my fitbit in about a month and when i tried to charge it and get it working again it would no longer connect with the app on my phone... I have done the factory reset on the Fitbit and have gone through everything I have found about how to fix the problem, then I came across that the Galaxy S7 is not compatible?!?! It was working just fine before! What can I do? I want my Fitbit to work like it's supposed to, and from what I have read this has been an issue, why isn't it fixed yet? What are we supposed to do with these expensive devices if they don't work?!

@AFR_Skittles welcome to the forums! Just like you said, at this moment the Samsung Galaxy s7 isn't a compatible device yet. Check the list here. Our engineers and devs are always adding new devices to the list, so keep an eye to it. It's pretty odd that it was working before you unpair your tracker.

Also, I've found this Feature Suggestion about adding the Samsung Galaxy s7 as a compatible device, check it out hereCat Wink Make sure to add your votes and comments!

Hi there @AFR_Skittles. Thank you for letting us know you were able to sync before. If a devices is not in our List Of Compatible Devices is because is not compatible at all or has not been fully tested to guarantee all the features will work flawlessly. As my friend @MariamV mentioned before, our teams are always adding new devices to the list.

Nowadays is hard to find a device is not compatible with the Fitbit app and trackers, specially if is a Samsung phone, since all these high end devices are built with the same core specifications changing on some features based on the model. So it wont hurt to give it a try, just make sure If you are running OS 6.0 (Marshmallow), Google has changed the permissions required for Bluetooth syncing. You must turn on location services to sync your tracker (Settings > Location). For more information about the latest Google permission requirements, see Google's Android 6.0 Changes document.

Also review if your software on your mobile device is up to date. To check, tap Settings > About Phone or About Device > Android Version.

See you around and let us know how it goes.
