Charge HR not syncing with the Android app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a fitbit charge hr and have downloaded the fitbit app onto my Samsung Galaxy J3 phone.  It takes ages to synch and when it eventually does only stays synched for a short while. Bluetooth is on and the app is set to synch all day, so why am I having such a problem staying connected? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hello @Janlynne, I like to see you have joined our Fitbit Community. Note the Samsung Galaxy J3 is not listed  as compatible device on our list of devices. However this does not mean your tracker wont work with your mobile device, but we cannot guarantee it will present issues like the one you are experiencing.

Being said that, It wont hurt to try the following steps to address the syncing issues: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

Hi. I'm having the same issue. Only had my Charge 2 for a few days - synced fine on first day, followed the steps on the link above on day two and it worked, but now I'm on day three and that hasn't worked. Feeling frustrated and am considering returning the fitbit. Are there any chance of an update for the J3 really soon?

Hello @Littlepiggy, good to have you here in the Fitbit Community. Make sure to update the Fitbit app to the latest version. On Feb 23rd was released a new version of the app which is 2.43.

To see what version of the Fitbit app is installed on your device:

  1. Tap the menu button.
  2. Tap Help.
  3. Tap Fitbit App.

Many devices are still under review and is hard to tell an specific date of when are going to become available. If your device isn't listed, you can check the link of compatible devices at a later date to see if device support has been added.

Also remember that you can sync with different compatible devices like computers using either the Fitbit app for windows 10 or the Fitbit connect for PC and Mac, in case the issue persists.

If this is a possibility and you need more help, let me know which type of computer you have, so I can let you know how to do this.

See you around.
