after last few updates my charge HR does not register my walking, instead it shows elliptical. Called customer service and told to put on charger & hold button until fitbit icon shows to recalibrate watch but did not solve the problem. Any fit out there

I am interested to hear what the response is, since I had a similar issue today. I walked an indoor track for a little over 30 minutes (2,660 steps according to my tracker), and the exercise that was "automatically detected" was an outdoor bike ride for 12 minutes (with an impact according to the app of 1,118 steps). According to the app, I also climbed 37 floors during that 30-minute walk on a flat track. I have a Charge 2.
I have found so many inconsistencies in much of the data since I first got the tracker seven months ago that I can't rely on any of it. The only things that work well are the watch itself to tell me what time it is and the notifications for incoming text messages and phone calls.

I am still having the same problem. I tried putting the elliptical exercise on 90 mins from auto recognize hoping it would pick up walking instead it did not record anything. My change HR was a gift and I will continue to use it but would never buy another fitbit products.
