When I saw your post about a factory reset I realized I had NOT tried
that. By this time I had removed the Fitbit app from my phone and
computer. I followed your link and tried like heck to do the factory reset
and my device would not accept any of it; I could not even turn the device
off!. On a whim, I reinstalled the Fitbit program on my computer, clicked
on sync and held my breath. OMG...it worked!!! I got my Charge HR
back!!! I reinstalled the app on my phone and it works now as well.
Perhaps new software has been updated since I gave up on my device, but
whatever the reason, I'm thrilled to have my device working again! I thank
everyone for their help and sharing advice. Happy New Year!!

My fitbit versa lite has been trying to sync to my Samsung S8 for 48 hours now. No progress. I have tried everything that has been mentioned to do . Nothing works. I'm beginning to get very upset with this product.

I gave up on my Fitbit Charge HR and switched to a Huawei Honor Band. Works
great and very affordable!

Does the Fitbit Inspire HR need to be completely charged prior to beginning setup? I ask because the first step says to charge the device throughout the setup process.

I have tried:
1. Plugging the cord into the computer and into the device as instructed straight out of the box.
2. Going through the account set up and allowing the app on my Samsung Galaxy S8 to turn on my bluetooth.

Got message that there was no bluetooth connection. Went into bluetooth settings in the phone.

3. Removed all other paired devices from the list as instructed, turned the bluetooth off then on again and tried to pair with the device.

I then get the error "couldn't pair. Check settings for this device and try again."

This entire time the fitbit is lit up and showing the fitbit symbol with www.fitbit.com/setup running across the screen. When the screen goes black, it does not light up again unless I click the button.

I tried pressing and holding the fitbit button which shows the symbol and link as described above then goes black after 12 seconds and then seems to restart as a smiley face appears then the same symbol and link as described above.

I hope this information can assist someone in telling me what I am missing or what else can I do?
