Can someone help me make sense of the calorie budgeting in the above images? I'm set up for a 500 calorie deficit.

On the dashboard, it suggests I have more in my budget, when by my math of calories out minus 500 I should not.

My nutrition info says simultaneously that I'm over budget and have room remaining.

What am I missing?

Am I right in saying that you log your food early in the day rather than throughout the day?

One of the confusing things with calories left is that fitbit tried to estimate the numbers at the end of the day rather than where you are now. It knows that you will burn more calories and it uses your logged food calories to estimate how much more you are likely to eat. If you log early it may figure that you will continue to eat at that rate throughout the day.

As the day goes on it will get more accurate.

Am confuse too, first: BMR  is 1650 minus 500 deficit calories 1010 to eat.

Dashboard show over 2000 and keep going up,, at the end of the day calories burn 4450 and rest heart show 2500 calories.

So am burning fat ?? Or what?

Thanks
