Connected GPS is running

Hi,

I have read some of the other post and had a try at all the advice but I still get the same notice "Connected GPS is running" and it is draining my battery.

I have updated the app today, I have twice removed the app from the phone, and installed it again but I keep getting the same problem on my Samsung Galaxy S10.

My app version is 3.22.1

What to do ?

Kind regards Julie

Hi @Stephanie83864, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. To further investigate, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Which Fitbit device are you wearing and do you use the connected-GPS feature when tracking an exercise? In the meantime I receive your answers, please troubleshoot the Fitbit app following the next steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version of your Samsung S10 is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be around,

So I have done what you wrote and updated my Samsung but I still have the problem.

I have done what you wrote and also updated my phone, but the problem is still here?

So I still havent head from you and I still have the problem. I have done what you wrote, and I have had the problem for some weeks now. It is draining my battery. I have the fitbit Inspire, it is only a couple of month old and yes I use the connected-GPS feature.

@Jonstrup, thank you for getting back and trying the recommended troubleshooting steps. Since you mentioned that the message keeps showing, I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. Sync your device before this in order to avoid losing current data.

After this, monitor your Fitbit device and see if the issue gets fixed.
