Data recovery

Very disappointed after speaking to customer service and a supervisor that no one claims that can recover data just accidentally deleted from fitbit dashboard. Have asked to speak to IT and told they do not have an IT department.  Only advice is manually log, which does not accumulate for badges, overall daily awards, etc. Anyone else have any thoughts or ideas. I know data is still on my charge 3 tracker.

Give us some context.  Are you talking about losing years worth of data or just a day or a workout?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hello @Mewfit, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and personal experience with Customer Support team, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Please note that we are always striving to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services, therefore, the feedback that was shared is really appreciated and helpful for us to evaluate our procedures.

Just as our Support team advised, if you accidentally deleted a workout, you can only manually log that information so it can be reflected into your account.

@JohnnyRow Thanks for your Support!

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

I was trying to upload ingo to a virtual race and my 35 minute run was not
loading. So I attempted to add an activity to link. When I added it I still
could not link it and accidentally deleted it instead of the manually
logged one. It was at 9:12am for 35 minutes for approximately 5k or 3.11
miles on dec 8th.

I wanted to keep the original since it will add to my overall steps and
badges.

Please let me know if you can assist me

Hello again @Mewfit, sorry for the delayed reply.

I appreciate all the details that were shared in your post, I'm sorry to know that your exercise was accidentally deleted when you were trying to add a virtual race. As it turns out, it's not possible to log the activity that was accidentally deleted in a different way than manually logging it with the steps that are specified on: How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?. However, just as you stated in your post, when you manually log the activity your overall steps and your badges will not be updated.

My apologies for this, don't hesitate to contact me back if you have additional questions.
