Descrepancy in miles

My versa 2 is not consistent when it comes to the screens that display miles. My 'today' screen will display, say, 1 mile. I tap on that icon to the weekly screen which will have 1 mile down for the day. But when I tap on that screen, the next mile screen will have a higher value for distance for the day.  I unlinked other pedometer apps.  Contacted fitbit twice but the problem continues.
