My phone, the LG G6, is not compatible with the fit bit devices. I just finished chatting with a CS agent about it. It did work with my phone from April till yesterday, Sept 12, 2017. I really hope that gets fixed, but I wanted to let everyone know why it may not connect if you have an LG G6.

Hi there @ladydaffney, thank you for joining to the Fitbit Community and for sharing with us your experience. Indeed, whit non compatible devices it is hard to guarantee the mobile device will support all the features in relation to the functionality of the Fitbit app and the tracker.
The SLG G6 has all the hardware requirements to be a supported device but is currently not on our list of supported devices. This means as you might have been informed, we have not tested it for compatibility and added it to the list yet.
Rest assure our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for future updates!
See you around and stay awesome!

@RobertoME, stop copy pasting this blatant fakeness. There has been no addition to that list in 18 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there @luca85, I know this sound like canned responses, although I can only share information that is at my reach. Any moderator has the ability to take actions about the models that are being added or how frequent is updated the Supported device list.
The list of supported devices is constantly updated, as you can see one of the latest model that has being added is the new Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+
Note the Fitbit Community is a channel of communication to share information, tips and help among users. If you have any questions in the future about Moderator actions, I'd welcome you to contact me or any other Moderator.
Take care.

Hi @RobertoME. There's a Whole thread dedicated to analyzing additions to the list of compatible devices and it clearly shows that fitbit isn't being developed for android. Adding one Samsung phone over 12 months isn't updating the list! Almost all phones built in 2016 and 2017 are not compatible!!
BTW, my problem with the moderators is that, fitbit, like many other companies, has no official support channel and resorts to these "social" forums to give answers. I just need one single person on any channel that will tell me when my charge 2 will be compatible with android phones and what's the technical limit at the moment that prevent this compatibility. I haven't been able to find an official answer to this question. You owe it to me out of transparency!!!!!!! I've dumped 160€ on what's effectively as useless as a brick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just tell me if I'll ever be able to use it and if not why!!

I am very confused by this as my fit bit was connecting to my phone just fine yesterday. I had to reset my phone and now my Bluetooth can't find my Alta HR.

You were able to connect to an LGG6? I just got my fitbit charge 2 and having trouble connecting. So frustrated.

@LorB, did you manage to connect?
I am in the same boat. Except that I had Flex before buying Charge 2 and it was working just fine until I updated its (Flex) firmware literally yesterday, just as my Charge 2 arrived. Now the Flex would not sync with the G6 at all. Just as the Charge 2 - which only displays the code and then app refuses to connect. The phone can connect to absolutely everything else I have - 2 Bluetooth Classic speakers, Bluetooth LE earphones, any other phone/PC/Mac and old-firmware Flex and even Bluetooth LE card terminals. So, the issue is definitely not the phone. From the same phone I can use some Bluetooth diagnostic apps to connect and pair to the Charge 2. Additionally, the code that the charge prompts to enter into the app - it is a result of proper connection.
As for the "devs working on devices" - my back parts they are working on anything like this - all phones in the list are almost 2 years old (as noted in one of the previous responses). I honestly have set the "45-days money back guarantee" timer ticking and will return the Charge 2 sometime next month if things do not get fixed. Judging by the release notes of the Android app, all they do is basically nothing they can brag about.

First of all - thanks for the hint about the WiFi. I managed to pair my Charge 2 by:
I then switched WiFi on and the tracker could still sync. However, maybe there are still some issues because I went on a run and wanted to have GPS track for it. I activated connected GPS - I saw that the GPS lock icon on the phone turned to Connected, and also made sure that Charge 2 was displaying a solid phone icon (connection to phone successful). I left the Fitbit app in foreground and locked the phone. When I got home and synced with the app, the run was not having a map.
I will experiment some more with Always connected, WiFi, Bluetooth state (just turned on, active for a while, other devices connected, etc.) and share here. My previous unsuccessful attempts were while trying to initially link the Charge to my account (with the code needed to be entered on the phone), or I think I was having Always connected switched off in order to save phone's battery.
Charge 2 connectivity woes are even more pronounced for me now, because my new Nokia Steel HR just arrived and it connected on the first attempt and syncs every time without any issue (the silicone strap is so much more comfortable and I almost do not feel it on my wrist, unlike the Charge where there is some pressure from the tracker unit; not that much of a data as the Charge and accuracy is still to be seen, though). I know I have been playing with the Steel HR for few hours, but the Charge could only connect today and I have been trying for a week.
