I just got a Samsung Note 10+ and downloaded the latest version of the Fitbit app to it and it won't sync. I have tried all troubleshooting suggestions on this site and it still won't work.

As a matter of fact I did get this sorted. I ended up deleting it and pairing/syncing it as if it was brand new. It did take a little bit of a while though. So just a little patience is key.

Hello @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums!

First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you but I'm here to help you with this. That said, if you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Android mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

Keep me posted, I'll be around if you need anything else.

I previously had my Ionic working with my Samsung Note 9+, though it had to be encouraged half the time for the Note to see the Ionic's Bluetooth broadcast - it seemed to be getting worse. At the time, I didn't notice whether the Bluetooth name was "Ionic" or "Ionic (Classic)".
I bought a Samsung Note 10+ and was able to get the Bluetooth broadcast more reliably, but during the setup process, after entering the four digit code from the Ionic, the setup won't complete. I've attempted starting from scratch several times with no luck. (I noticed the Samsung Note 10 is not included in the 'known working devices' listing.)
"Ionic (Classic)" - seems to involve music control and was the only way I could get my Windows 10 machine to see the device (that setup attempt failed twice as well).
I also moved from the UK to the US East Coast and am stuck with the time being 5 hours ahead.

My Ionic is next to useless to me at the moment.

HELP!

I was able to get it synchronized by eliminating all other Bluetooth  connections and rebooting the Ionic.
The Bluetooth name "Ionic" appeared on my Win10 machine and I already had the Fitbit app running.

I entered the setup process and it found my Ionic and continued as it should after I entered the 4 digit numeric code on the Ionic's screen.

It stopped when it couldn't find any WiFi networks despite the fact that I was in the same room as my primary router/WiFi hotspot. After re-searching several times, I selected setup WiFi later.

I then went through the setup process (with only the Ionic Bluetooth connection again) on my Note 10+. This time it allowed me to enter the WiFi SSID and password manually and it went into updating soon thereafter.
It would be better if the Ionic were more tolerant of competing Bluetooth devices and more sensitive to WiFi sources.

(I may have done things slightly different than listed above, but in general I acted with the assumption that the Ionic is particularly difficult if it's not the only thing being dealt with.)

I have an ionic. Fitbit have basically told me phone is not
compatible...unlucky....even though it was working fine before last update

Thank you for your rapid response. That's unfortunate because I enjoyed
Fitbit so much. Time to move forward.

Hello. I have reset, uninstalled, reinstalled, turned off, rebooted, you name it...NOTE 10+ will NOT receive texts/call notifications at all, and only sporadic notifications from calendar or email.

This is ridiculous! Both items brand new. Will return  fitbit versa 2 and going with a different fitness watch that works.

Please, if anyone has a fix for this, let me know. I'm at wits end and just want to give up and take it back. Love my phone, so it is not going anywhere. Thanks in advance.

I agree! I'm in the same boat... Samsung Note 10+, Alta HR, syncs fine but no text or phone call notifications. What a waste... it's been months since the phone has been out and they still haven't "tested" it yet. Probably just going to go with a different watch at this point.

Same here!  I am using a Samsung Note 10+ and have reset, uninstalled, reinstalled, switch on and off many times but the Versa 2 does NOT received any texts/call notifications.  So disappointed!  Need to rethink having another brand's watch instead of Fitbit then.

When I go to ionic under Bluetooth on my phone, it tells me an app isneed for that.  I already the fitbit app installed and have been using my watch for 2 years.
