Different milage with the same amount of steps

My miles are not being registered. I am doing the same amount of steps as others I'm my group but they are showing as 7 miles and mine is only 2.49 miles

@Gloryer Welcome to the forums! Thanks for posting about the traveled distance during your workout. 

Please note that every person has a different stride length. Meaning some people will take longer and shorter steps than you. So it is indeed possible to see a difference if you have the same amount of steps. However, 7 miles compared to 2.5 miles does not seem correct. I also recommend checking that your personal information is entered correctly, as Juan mentioned above. The stride length is calculated with your personal information and you can also set it manually. More information you find in the article above.

@Gloryer , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message. 

The millage (distance) is measured by multiplying your amount of steps with your stride length.
Please make sure that your personal information is set correctly (Age, height, weight, etc)
After everything is corrected, try imputing your stride length manually .
