I bought the Versa yesterday to replace my Blaze and Samsung gearfit 2Pro. After no less than 6 hours of trying EVERY SINGLE fix I can find, I AM DONE with Fitbit. Permanently DONE.
The versa will not connect to my iPad, or my MacBook Pro laptop, or my Android Oneplus 5 phone. This is a such a massive FAIl on the part of fitbit, I can't believe it.
I've been an avid fitbit guy for 3 years and have been rooting for them to get their crap together and come out with winning products. Everyone in my family wears fitbits and we have weekly fitness battles. Because fitbit has been missing a a TON of decent "smart watch" features, I added a samsung gearfit pro2 to my wrist so I could actually get functionality I need (text relies, ignore calls, etc).
I'm going back to by Samsung

Sounds like a bad one, it should have at least connected to the iPad.
Whoever builds these for Fitbit has crappy quality control. I returned mine, too.

I was also waiting for Fitbit to release a waterproof smartwatch that not only tracks my fitness stats, but also receives messages (which I can reply to) and calls (accept and talk with my phone or reject from watch) I am thrilled with my Versa. It does sound like you got a bad one.
