Does watch/tracker data always take precedence over phone when data from both are present?

I have added both my Fitbit watch (Versa 4) and my phone for step counting (i.e. both are present in devices menu in app). In any given time period, if data is present from both does the data from the watch always take precedence?

If yes, is there any way to temporarily over-ride this? There are some situations where data from phone will be more accurate than data from the watch (e.g. when pushing a stroller or wheelchair) and I was wondering it it was possible to force the app to use phone data in these situations even whilst I am also wearing my watch.

Thanks

Hello @osm

Using your phone to track your steps is an option that is used when you're not wearing your Fitbit device. This page explains how to track step with one's phone (<-- click link).

If you are wanting to track your steps when pushing a stroller or wheelchair by using your phone, I would think that taking off your Versa 4 so that your phone is doing the tracking is probably the best workaround.

Just to let you know, I've seen some users report that they see double the number of steps when they are wearing their Fitbit device and also have their phone as a connected device.
