Downgrade to older version when txt msgs wrkd???

I have a fitbit blaze  3 years old and a S9 plus android phone... I stopped   Receiving text notifications when we had recent updates ....are we able to go back to older versions and down  grade to when text messaging worked.. anyone know  When text message notifications stopped working and how to download an older version when it did work....UPDATE... I just spoke to fitbit support and he stated that there is no way to get an older version and they are still working on the issue...uggghhhh

This can be done using unofficial sites so it must be carried out with caution.  I know Amazon have an old version in their app store as I have it on my kindle. 

Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can perhaps contact you on how to best carry this out.
