Taking an ECG reading is currently not working.  I follow the instructions on watch, and once I place finger on face it just spins and returns to instruction screen.  No other information displayed.

Hello @sftl97

Thank you for letting us know what problem you're having with the ECG app. Please provide some additional information so that we can give you the correct advice.

Did the ECG app work for you before?

Which Fitbit device do you have?

What country do you live in?

@sftl97   You wrote that you place a finger on the face.  If you use a Charge 5 or 6, you put your thumb and index finger on the two metallic plates on the sides of the pebble.  For a Sense or Sense 2, you place your thumb and index finger on opposite corners.  Every model has flashing blue images that show where to place your fingers.

I'm using a recently purchased pixel watch 3 and it's the first time trying
to use Fitbit ECG.
I start the ECG on the watch and following it's instructions.
I'm in the USA.

Thanks

Hello @sftl97

Thank you for the additional information. It's been awhile since I've tried the ECG app on my Pixel Watch 3. I just tried it and was able to get a reading.

On the Pixel Watch 3, you should be putting your finger on the crown and not the watch face. Make sure that your arms are on a table or supported so that there's no movement.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try if you're still having problems:

  • Restart your Pixel Watch and try again
  • Uninstall the ECG app on your watch. Then re-install/update the ECG app

Let us know if you were able to do an ECG reading.

Thanks for all the info.  But still no joy.  I have tried several time on table with left arm perfectly still and right finger on crown.  It cycles though the ecg from 30sec. to 0 only to come back with a msg the says inconclusive unable to get complete reading try again.  Way too annoying, I give up.
