Hi there, I've seen this issue pop up since at least 2014 and there doesn't seem to be consensus as to whether we can actually do this ... alter the date of our weight loss/gain goal.
I started my weight loss journey (round 500) at the beginning of this year but didnt' set a weight loss goal. I wanted to be able to track my weight loss since then, but every time I add a weight loss goal it sets it to the current day. This is a pretty basic feature so I'm disappointed that this has been a known issue, reported on and there still isn't a solution.

@miranda_d Hello there! Thanks for reaching out about the weight loss goal and the explanation.
Let me check it out myself. I just went to delete my current weight goal and set up a new one to try what you mentioned. If there is no weight goal set, it will show you the last weight entry where the weight goal is usually shown. There is no way to select a date for the weight goal. You can only select the target weight and your intention, either maintain, lose or gain weight. The app will then keep track of your weight in comparison to the date that you set up the weight goal. Meaning, the date that appears on your app is directly related to the day you set the goal on. In case you wish to update the date shown on the app linked to the weight goal, you will have to delete the current weight goal and set up another one. That will link the new weight goal with the current date. That is how this feature works. Note that you have the option to see your weight trends on the graphs on the app. You can select different periods of time and check even your whole weight loss journey. That would be an alternative to see the changes over time, since the weight goal does not reflect that information if you update it. Thanks for your understanding.
