@LeslieAnnWood What exercise ring are you using? This is a forum for Fitbit users. Fitbit does not make an exercise ring.

@alexthecat I think @LeslieAnnWood refers to the circles for various goals in the app.

@t.parker @alexthecat Appreciate your input.
@LeslieAnnWood Welcome to the forums. I will gladly help you regarding the information on the Fitbit app.
Please note that in order for the exercise data to show on the Fitbit app, the device has to sync with your smartphone. If it is not syncing, please take a look at this article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?.

@LeslieAnnWood have you checked to see if your Fitbit has synced? In your app, on the opening page, if you click on the picture/ account icon and then your device it should show you the time and date of your last sync. There should also be an option to sync now.
If you find your Fitbit is not syncing as expected, please follow the advice in this help article .

Hi, @LeslieAnnWood , automatic detection for your activities generally speaking works really well. And it sounds like for you the automatic detection has mostly worked.
But if it is important to you that EVERY workout (or swimming session) gets counted, then I think you should, as previously mentioned, return to manually logging. The auto logging works great, usually, as you have noted, but sometimes it is going to let you down… so if you really, really care that every workout gets recorded, just manually log it and then it is never going to be missed.
Really it boils down to how you use your Fitbit. You will get a pretty accurate overall view of your activity if your u just let it do it’s thing. If you want more detailed focus of your activities you can get that too, but in that case you need to use the more manual than automatic activities.
Please feel free to ask any specific questions,
