Feedback about the new dashboard and Versa

I was already bent about the website changes (shutting down those groups, etc.)
Now I get an update to the android app that is not appealing to the eye, not intuitive or user friendly at all for me.

Top that off with, I get on a plane, cross two time zones and my fitbit, while still synching steps to the phone would not update the time it displayed, so it was out by two hours.

16 hours later I finally have it working again, no thanks to anyone at TwitBit. I had to do a factory reset, and wait while it updated, and updated, and ... you get the picture.

The new app is the final nail in the coffin of our FitBit use here.

The useful groups have now been gone from the dashboard for a couple of months.

Fitbit took them away without any warning.

They (FitBit) insisted that the groups in the app would be sufficient for our needs. However we could not even access the old data to recreate our groups, instead we're stuck with these huge groups with over a million people in them... I know none of these people, and really don't care to compete ina group that size.
The latest version of the app caused my Versa to lose it's mind, and I had to reset it.
Zero help from FitBit to fix it.
What I realized during this latest incident, coupled with the deleting of the groups I hae been competing with all these years is - now that my FitBit is reset, it's going up for sale.. Facebook marketing it for the first 50 bucks I can get.. and I'm off to shop for a Garmin, or Motiv device.

It's been fun but we're done

Not sure why people think the new app is un-intuitive is beyond me, I find it much easier to navigate and very clear to understand.  Maybe people just don't like change....

Hi @jjwillamson and @SunsetRunner. I'm glad to see you around the Community Forums.

@jjwillamson, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the Versa and the new dashboard. I see where are you coming from about the app and dashboard changes, and I'm sorry about the inconvenience experienced with that. Our team released the new dashboard to improve its functionality with the Fitbit devices based on the feedback that we've received. I understand that this wasn't your case, and be sure that your comments will not go unnoticed.

About our Support Team, I'll pass your thoughts to our team so this can be avoided in the future. You're always welcome to share your comments about our products, and we'll make sure to work on them and overall environment. You're always welcome back to the Fitbit family if you change of mind.

@SunsetRunner, thanks for your thoughts about the new dashboard on the Fitbit app. I'm glad that you're taking advantage of it!

I'll be around if you need anything else.

I agree with @jjwillamson.  My phone forcibly updated me to the new app today (which I have been explicitly avoiding doing!!!!!!!!) and I've spent hours now trying to get it even functional again.  It won't even recognize my Versa, let alone sync. This is nearly as bad as Windows 10 hijacking my laptop to reboot it and update the OS right in the middle of a critical editing project.  "Never mind what you were trying to do, we know best, WE ARE UPGRADING YOU RIGHT NOW WHETHER YOU WANT IT OR NOT!"

I'm trying hard to figure out what version of the Fitbit app I had previously (you know, the one that actually WORKED) so I can manually download it and revert.

I love change, when it is for the better, and works right, and serves some purpose other than to allow developers to justify their existence on a project.
This change however broke things, many things for many people if you take the time to read the feedback you can see that, and obviously was not tested properly before release.
Moving things that have been in the same place for a long time, just for the sake of saying 'Look, we did something" is non-sensical.
Adding extra steps to get to the config screen for example.. I had to hunt for what used to be a single click on the main screen. That is not change for the better.
