First thing in the morning app shows nearly whole day's worth of calories out

When I wake up the app shows over 1000 calories out rather than accruing calories as I move about my day.  I understand that there will be some small number of calories that the body has burned while sleeping but clearly I do not burn over 1000 (I'm 5'2" and 130 pounds).  It's annoying because I like to follow my intake with my output which helps to manage throughout the day.  Besides, having a nearly a whole day's worth of calories at 6AM doesn't make any sense.  I installed the newest update but that was after discovering this change.  Any ideas how to get it back to just showing an ongoing accrual of calories burned?

Hi, @Pingrey, welcome to the community. Your Fitbit calculates your anticipated BMR using your weight, age, sex & height which you can access/edit by going to the "you" tab at the bottom of the "Today" screen & touching your "Tile" at the top. How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity? - Fitbit Help Center describes how the calorie calculations are handled & presented.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
