Fit bit blaze won't connect to phone (oppo r9)

Hey 

 

I have an Oppo r9 and before buying my Fitbit Blaze today, I was informed that all fit bits connect to all android/apple phones and have just found that is not the case. One of my main reasons to buy a Fitbit was so that I could easily control music whilst working out at the gym and checking notifications etc (my phone is huge and it is a pain to be holding it constantly at the gym).

 

When will I know if my phone will be able to connect to my fit bit and be compatible?

All you can do is keep an eye on the supported product list at www.fitbit.com/devices
