FitBit App, Galaxy S7, and MobileTrack

Hello, Fitties!

So unfortunately I have to send my Blaze back to FitBit for an RMA replacement. I figured in the meantime, I could still get my basic functionality out of the MobileTrack feature.

I spoke to FitBit Support via chat yesterday to confirm MobileTrack compatibility on my S7 (it is), and to get the general setup instructions; the compatibility page on the FitBit site wasn't exactly clear.

I've packaged my old Blaze up to send this morning, unsynced it from my app, went to go set up MobileTrack per the instructions I was provided... And lo and behold, there was no option for "I don't have a tracker" within the "Which Fitbit tracker are you setting up?" screen.

So I waited a little bit, just to make sure it wasn't trying to be cute and pop the option up after a delay.

I tried restarting the app.

I made sure the old tracker wasn't retained somehow.

I restarted my phone.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the FitBit app.

I'm at a loss. I was hoping to be able to keep using my FitBit app while waiting for my replacement Blaze, but I can't seem to figure out how to get MobileTrack set up to do that efficiently. I'll be even more disappointed if Support steered me wrong as to the compatibility.

HELP!!!

I get that! I have a Flex & I just upgraded my phone to an S7, and lost all of my customized goals and 3 years worth of badges. I have a call into fitbit for a fix. Don't hold your breath they might have upgraded to the S7 yet.

Hello @JCSwishMan33 and @Drummer-momma, welcome to the Fitbit Community!

@JCSwishMan33, unfortunately at this moment Mobile Track is not available for the Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, my apologies for the misunderstanding with the support team. Additionally I have found a suggested idea by @derekmski101 to implement this feature in a future update. Feel free to vote for it or add your comment to show your support, this is the best place to make your voice heard.

@Drummer-momma, badges are linked to your account, not the phone itself, have you checked if the badges still appear in your online Dashboard?, if they do, please log out from the Fitbit app on your phone, restart it and log back in to check if the badges are shown again.

I hope this information has been useful, feel free to reply if you need anything else! Smiley Wink

Hello,

Just checking in to see if this functionality is closer to being added for the Samsung Galaxy S7 phones. As of 4/13/2017, it has not. Additionally, MobileTrack is not available on my older (3+ years) Samsung Galaxy S5 Active.

Still hoping for the S7 to be compatible! Any time on that?
