FitBit Ionic - FitBit Android App crashes when opening, app unusable at this point.

The last couple of days the Fitbit Android app has started to crash every time I try to start it on  my phone.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the app several times with no luck.

App worked fine for the last 2 weeks on my my new phone, now all of a sudden, it just does nothing but crash when starting. I never even get to the point where I get to the interface.

The version of the app I am running is 2.74.2 and my phone is a Motorola Z2 Play running Android 7.1.1.

Really need this to be fixed, while I know the stock answer is going to be "Sync it with your dongle & PC", that is not an acceptable answer, I am not going to carry my laptop around to just sync my watch.

HELP!!

Hi @Gregc63

Same Fitbit app here and using Android 8. I've not had any problems.

Try having bluetooth off and logging into the app?  Is there a particular point where you crash?

Hi @Odyssey13 ,

Thanks for the reply!

I've tried it with Bluetooth off and on, same behavior.

App crashes as it's being launched, completely unusable as of now.

Unfortunately, I do not know when this phone will be upgraded to Android 8 either.
