I followed the solution to sync my fitbit alta. I reset my tracker and restarted my phone. I then unpaired my alta from my phone and reset it as a new device. The app did sync for one day, but now it's not syncing again. Could it be that my phone is not compatible I have the Samsung J3 (2016). Please help 😠

Hey there @Ekearse, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂
I'm very sorry to hear that you're having problems getting your Fitbit Alta to sync to your Samsung J3. Thanks a lot for all that you've tried to get it to work!
I'm afraid that the reason why your tracker is not syncing is because this specific model is not compatible for syncing with Fitbit trackers.
When it comes to devices compatibility, due to Bluetooth issues that prevent certain devices, like Fitbit devices from syncing, our products aren't compatible with the following phones:
Huawei P8 Lite
Huawei P9 Lite
Huawei P20 Lite
Xiaomi Mi 6
For all other devices, if they're not on the list of compatible devices, you might be able to sync with them but we don't guarantee that the functionality will be optimum as we are still testing on these phone models and due to the large number of Android and Windows devices, our team has not yet tested all of them. We're continually adding more devices and improving our compatibility, so if you don't see your device on the list check back soon.
To use the Fitbit app you must have one of the following operating systems installed on your phone or tablet:
Apple iOS 10 or higher
Android OS 5.0 or higher
Windows 10 version 1607.0 or higher
Alternatively, you can use the Fitbit app for Windows 10 on your computer, or use Fitbit Connect to sync with a Mac or Windows 8.1 computer to access your data and take advantage of the many features of your Fitbit device.
To see the full list of the devices that are compatible, click here.
Anything else you may need, I'm always around. Let me know if you need anything else!
PS. I'm moving your post to the Android app board for categorization purposes.

Hi there,
Thank you for your reply. If I want to try and sync from my desktop on Window 10, what do I need to do?
I have logged into my account on my desktop, do I need to download the app on my computer? Also I am unable to find where I can turn my Bluetooth on, and finally do I have to add my device anywhere.?
Many thanks for your help.
