Fitbit App Dropping Exercise Days

I'm having a problem with the app dropping days of exercise in some (not all) weeks.  I've been using a Charge 4 until today (just upgraded to a Charge 5).  First example, the app shows the week of Aug 29 - Sept 4, it shows I exercised 5 days in the week title, but there are only 2 says logged (Sept 2nd and 3rd).  Likewise for the week of Sept 12 -25, title bar shows 5 days of exercise, but it only has 3 days logged below.   Both of these weeks showed correct data as I completed the weeks, but dropped days off at some point afterwards and the check marks for the dropped days in the calendar also disappear. What's strange is the my Activity log under my Dashboard is retaining all correct data.

 

It would be nice if the app retained all the historical exercise data like the Dashboard log. 

 

For some reason I cannot attach screenshots of the app and Dashboard activity log because when I click the camera icon to insert a photo, the popup Insert/edit box shows only a "Source" field into which I'm supposed to type something.  It doesn't give me an option to explore and upload an image file from my computer (Windows 10 MS Surface Pro, Chrome browser).

I have the exact same problem as Dave. Only difference is that I am using a Charge 3.
