This has been a known issue with the Pixel Watch2 since its launch. There are multiple threads regarding this issue in this forum, Google community and Reddit going back years now.
It has to this point not been resolved and no updates to when it will be have been given.
Moderators keep closing threads and marking them as resolved when nothing has been done. None of the recommended steps to fix it work and they are just repeated ad nauseam. We are just spinning our wheels trying.
Please give an honest answer as to what is being down to correct this problem. Every person who has a Pixel Watch 2 and uses the FitBit app are not being awarded the climb badges. Escalate this to the highest level and let's get this resolved once and for all.
Thank you.

Sorry, but as the other threads have pointed out, your Pixel 2 watch does not have the needed hardware to count floors, and probably the reason for no floors counted

Haven't found any threads that state that. The Pixel Watch 2 counts doors just fine -- 3,688 since the beginning of the year. Syncs fine with the app - badges aren't being awarded as they are for steps.

According to the Google Store the Pixel Watch 2 has an altimeter.
Mine has no problem counting stairs but, as @JonTV said, there are no badges. I'm not clear on the reason for that either.

You can Google the issue. There are plenty of posts on various forums about it. Everyone gets some canned reply about how they are working on it but it never gets resolved. They are just kicking the can down the road until everyone upgrades a their devices and it isn't a problem any longer.

Hello @JonTV
The Floor badges were "broken" sometime after the Fitbit app redesign. There's been no word on fixing the badges that I've seen.

The Fitbit app clearly understands that the number of floors have been correctly tracked but the badges aren't being assigned.
Is the "broken" that you mention something across the app for
Also
As in should I bother to upgrade to the new pixel watch 4 or get one of the other devices.
Especially now one of the biggest Fitbit problems (dark mode) is being fixed. For my daily usage I only have 2 real problems left with Fitbit.
Do you know if there is a reported bug on the issue tracker? This is a known problem but I can't find the bug listed to check on it's status.

Just the floor badges - all the other ones are awarded.
Most people as far as I can tell ware experiencing this issue with the Pixel Watch 2.

Hello @Mez90b
As best as I know, it's only the Floor badges that remain "broken" in the Fitbit app and it affects all Fitbit devices, not just the Pixel Watches.
If/when floor badges are fixed, I would think that the badges could be awarded retrospectively since your historical data is on the Fitbit servers.
