Apps seem to be very slow at refreshing data....for instance, when I go in to log food, it'll show that I'm X calories under...but if I go out and back in several times, it'll suddenly jump to a higher number.
Similarly, with water, I'll go in and it'll say I've logged xml but of I go into the details and manually sum them up, there's more logged ...then after a while it'll suddenly refresh to a higher number, the correct number.
This is not a charge 5 synch issue as at least the water record is logged locally.... It's a Fitbit app issue.
Seems to have become worse in recent day. Device (phone) has been reset, cache cleared etc...no joy.

Hi @LukmanC what type of phone is this app on. You say that your issue is not a hardware issue with the Charge 5

Perhaps I have posted this in the wrong section.
I am using a charge 5. However, the issue is in the Fitbit app running on Android 11 on a Motorola razer 5g.
The best example I can give is last night I logged 5 lots of 250ml water intake. The tile in the app home page was showing a total 750ml...but when you click into the tile, the details was showing the 5 entries correctly and the total of 1,250. After several movements back and forth between the two screens, eventually the total on the home page refreshed.
Logging drunk water does not depend on the charge 5 device itself in any way whatsoever. However the app used on Android is not refreshing totals correctly.

@LukmanC @Rich_Laue Nice to see you again here in the forums.
@LukmanC I will gladly help you regarding the information displayed on the main tiles on the Fitbit app. Thanks for the detailed explanation and your initiative to solve it on your own. I would have cleared the cache storage as well.
I just tried to log water and food and check if the information was updated or not. I just logged 500ml water and went back to the main screen and the water tile does show the 500ml logged. I did it again but this time logged three 500ml lots, went back. It showed the 2000ml overall. The same with the logged calories. Please make sure that your Fitbit app is up to date. Try uninstalling it and installing it again.
Have a nice day!

Sorry about the radio silence.
Uninstalling and reinstalling has made no difference.
I have a recording of the behaviour ..however, I'm running some tests to see if I can isolate exact circumstances... I suspect it might be related to using the widget for logging water. Will post again when I have steps that can be used to relocate the issue on demand (presently it's working sometimes and not working other times)
