Fitbit Charger HR not being seen by Bluetooth - SOLVED -

Okay, got my Fitbit Charger HR yesterday. 10/05/2016

Account and sync works great!

But ... I cannot get it to connect to my cellphones Bluetooth:

Samsung SM G850A

Android System: 5.0.2

It shows: Charger HR  as Available Device as a Bluetooth Device.

But when I click to sync - tie it w/the phone:

ERROR: Unable to communicate with the Charger HR.

What I did:

* Logged out of Fit on my phone.

* Turned OFF Bluetooth.

* Turned OFF phone for 5 mintues.

* Turned phone back ON.

... Went back into Bluetooth Settings and turned it ON.

It shows: Charger HR  as Available Device

Same Error as above.

Then went through the same steps above and logged back into Fit and it sync'd just fine -

But still will not be seen by Phone's Bluetooth connection. Same error.

Tried removing the USB DONGLE from my computer, as one person found this was causing the " connection " issue.

Did not work.

Then went through the above steps again, Logging OFF, turning OFF Bluetooth, turning OFF phone and still NO CONNECTION.

Am I missing something here. I was hoping to use the Bluetooth connection w/my cellphone, since it is there to use.

Thanks!

I found this and to no avail:

The Version is V122

  1. Plug your charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Insert the other end into the port on the back of your Fitbit Charge or Fitbit Charge HR. Your tracker will begin charging.
  3. Press and hold the button for 10 to 12 seconds until you see the Fitbit icon and a version number (e.g. "V30").
  4. Let go of the button.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

After NOT giving up .... I found this answer and it worked:

  1. Turn on call notifications.

Wow, talk about simple .... ya, I admit it, I did not see this option until doing some more digging and trouble shooting.

SOLVED!
