Fitbit Ionic Can't install the latest firmware update

I have the fitbit Ionic and a Galaxy Note 8. I have the alert in the app to "update tracker software." Whenever I click on the update button, the app will jump to another page, which I assume is where the update will run but immediately go back to the previous page. I have restarted the Ionic multiple times as well as my phone with no luck. Is there a way to get the update to run?

I figured out why the firmware wasn't updating. I had to update the software on my phone. Once I did that, the update worked. My issue now is I'm not seeing an option to do a quick reply on the watch.
