In the same space as the cardio target for the day, there is now a box that says:
Fitbit Labs
Ready to upload your first lab report?
Get a simple summary of your lab report. If you're not not ready, please share why in the survey.
Get started
If I tap on "Get started", I am taken to a screen where I can scroll down and choose "No thanks" or "Agree & Continue". If I choose "No thanks", I never get a survey, it just closes, and the notification box never ever goes away.
It has been like this for a couple of days now. I don't want to participate in Fitbit Labs. I have turned off Fitbit Labs in my setting. Why is this box not going away??? I am tired of scrolling past it.

@ncwineboy Thanks, you are right. And I'm beginning to believe that what we want as users is not a major interest, at least in giving us what we want. It is disappointing.

Now they have a take survey link but no survey. it takes you to the same freaking page. What is the happening to Google. Are they this desperate. The quality of the app and the watch itself is declining at Microsoft speed. you guys cannot pull Microsoft. you will be shown to the Oblivion. I never did business with those **ahem** but now you guys are turning into that.

I have posted about this before, and I have submitted feedback directly to Fitbit numerous times and still there is no fix. I do not have any interest in Fitbit labs, and I do not want the icons on my screen. We have been told there is a fix pending, but I think were being gaslighted. Please, Fitbit, fix this!

I went into my Fitbit profile inside the app and then in the Fitbit settings and in the labs and where it says development clicked on that and then finally got it to say turned off and when it said turn off the banners on the home screen went away.

Hi @angielsw99 - are you using an Android phone? Assume so since this is in the Android app section. What version of the app are you using? I'm still on version 4.44.2. The banners still do not go away and I think I'm following the steps you describe.

Unfortunately, I just exited and reopened the app and apparently it was only a temporary fix. It came back when I reopened it and I can't make it even temporarily happen again. Sorry that didn't work.

Darn, had my hopes up...haha. Was also excited when I saw Version 4.45 on one of my phones. No luck there and I have not been able to update to that version on all of our phones yet. Guess we'll just keep fingers crossed that it gets fixed.

Had replied back above that it did work for me....until I exited the app and reopened it.

Hi, two Fitbit Labs tiles are clogging my home screen (right under the focus circles, and above all other tiles) and I can't get rid of them. My app is updated to the latest version, I have "turned off" FitBit Labs according to my Settings, and yet the tiles persist. There is nothing I can click that gets rid of them, other than MAYBE opting in and giving it all the personal health data it wants, but I don't want to do that and FitBit claims I don't have to.
This is a very aggravating bug. Even the cardio load goal tile (which appears to the right of the two Labs tiles) has an x that works to remove it temporarily. (and fwiw, I actually kind of like the cardio load tile.) I'm aware that nagging users to share their data is how Alphabet makes money but you could at least be consistent in your own claims that it's possible to turn off the nagging.
