I bought my My Fitbit surge yesterday and set it up to connect to my android phone (using the mobile app) no problem at all. However, after a few hours of use it will not sync to my phone unless I connect to "Surge Classic"
I dont mind having it synced via "Surge (Classic)" as I am using the notifications currently, however in future to save on battery time, I would like to sync using "Surge" pairing.
When I try to pair with "Surge" option it says "pairing rejected by Surge"
Did anybody else have this issue and how did you resolve it? Question has been sent to fitbit support as well.

Connected my fitbit surge to my computer to charge then it seemed to sync. Take it out and tried to sync whilst at work and again wouldnt work. Had to put back into Classic mode in order to sync.
Also does anybody find that the left button doesn't always work when pushed and needs to be pressed a few times to enter the menu?

I have turned bluettoth classic off and my device is synching to my phone, however after a while it stops synching and then i have to turn bluetooth classic back on in order to connect again. Fitbit are in contact by email, so if I get it resolved, I will post reply on here.

Just realised you dont have to have Bluetooth classic on unless you want to use music control. Notifications will be sent from phone to fitbit surge as long as notifications are set to on.
synching seems to be working more stable now, but I have an issue with the left button being intermittent.

I have seemed to find out what the issue is. Everytime I use the exercise or run modes and once finished recording, the device will not sync with my mobile. I then charge the unit and sync via my PC and then afterwards it syncs to my phone. Also the button is intermittent. Fitbit support have sent a replacement as I sent a video with the issue and they have already dispatched a replacement. 5 out of 5 for response times and service. Hope this may help others who may experience same issues
