I have a weird issue that I wonder if anyone has seen before. When I installed and opened the Fitbit app on my Google Pixel phone for the first time the 'Today' page is completely empty. There are no metrics widgets shown at all, just a completely blank page. Clicking the 'Customize Today' icon just shows Health Connect sync options and manage features for ECG and irregular heartbeat, nothing that would show/hide normal metrics like steps. I have installed on two different phones and the same thing happens.
I know that the data is there and syncing because I can use my Fitbit device (Google watch 3) to open specific metrics on the app and it opens the metric screen and it shows fine (see Steps example below). It's just the Today screen that doesn't show anything. Right now the only way I can see any metrics at all is to use the watch to force the app to open a sub-page (steps, heartbeat, floors, distance, etc.) I have no way of getting to the page via the app itself which is really frustrating. Any Ideas?

Hello @olincoln
I haven't seen this issue reported before. Thanks for providing the photos as that really helps.
What's the version for the Fitbit app that you installed? To find the version #, tap on your picture in the upper right of the Today page. Then, tap on Help. The version number should be on the page that opens.
Which Pixel phone are you using? You said you tried on 2 different phones with the same result. What was the other phone you tried?
Although I'm not sure that this will work, you could try clearing the storage for the Fitbit app on your phone, followed by a force stop. You'll need to log back into the app after clearing the storage.
Please let us know if you were able to make any progress.

Hi @RiekoC ,
Thanks for responding! Fitbit app ver is 4.40. I have tried with a Pixel 9a and a Pixel 7a. I have tried logging out, clearing cache, uninstalling, re-installing and it's always blank when I log back in.
The only other thing that could be possibly related. I owned the original Fitbit back in 2009 and had a pre-existing fitbit.com account from back then but I have not used it since 2011. When I first logged in again it saw that I had an old account and 'merged' it with my Google fitbit account. Maybe there is some old data from long ago that is incompatible with the new app and breaking the dashboard? I tried going into the fitbit data delete site and tried to delete anything from older than 2025 but it didn't fix anything.
Thanks, Owen
