Fitbit and Family Link

So my elderly (86) year old mother has a Pixel 8a and a Versa 3 fitbit watch.

I use family link to find her, and her phone when there are issues.
This is a non negotiable situation.  At her age, I HAVE to be able to do this.

She wants her watch (I believe it's a versa 3) to sync with her phones fitbit.  From what I can tell, there's no way to do it.

Do any fitbit watches work with Family Link?
This has to be the dumbest thing, since google owns both, you'd think they'd make them talk to each other...
but here we are.
Thank you

Yeah, it's honestly frustrating — you'd think Google owning both Fitbit and Family Link would mean seamless integration, but no. As of now, Fitbit doesn't officially support syncing with phones managed under Family Link, which blocks some necessary permissions for the Fitbit app to function properly in the background. So even if it installs, syncing often fails or is inconsistent. I totally get your situation — you need tracking to work, and she just wants her watch to function. Sadly, unless Google updates Family Link to allow full Fitbit support, the only workarounds are limited or involve loosening restrictions, which defeats the purpose.
