The Fitbit application automatically starts when I turn the bluetooth on. How do I stop this? I cannot remember if this is something that I have done or not. There are many times that I want to use my bluetooth but I do Not want my Fitbit app to start. Every time I am interacting with a bluetooth device on my phone; the Fitbit app starts and when I close it, it just restarts all by itself....
Android LG V20 model number LG-US996 OS 8.0.0 with Charge 3
Make it stop!! HELP Thanks, Bob

RicardoFitbit: This did work somewhat. I stopped the app and uninstalled the app on my phone. I restarted the phone and checked for updates, it was up to date. I re-installed the fitbit app and then restarted the phone again. I realize that even when the app is not on or being used it is still running in the backround. If I were to start the bluetooth now (without forcing a stop on the app) then the fitbit application will start still automatically. Lets say that I re-start my phone and do nothing, just go about my day... Then I start my bluetooth, the FB app will still start automatically. On the other hand, lets say that I restart my phone when I wake up in the morning and then Force Stop the FB app.... then it is all good. I can then start my bluetooth to do something non related to FB and it will Not auto start. I see no reason(for me) to have the FB app doing something in the backround during the dat as I do not use it for notifications or for digital pay, or "always on" updating. I usually just turn on the bluetooth either at night or early morning to update all of my data. This is what works for me. So, bottom line, I need to force stop the FB application after I upload my data so that the FB app is Not working on my phone in the backround all day using my phones resources... Thanks for your assistance. Greatly appreciated Sir. Bob W.

Hi @BobWiese, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that every time you turn on the Bluetooth of your mobile device the Fitbit app automatically starts. To move forward with this situation, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then? If you haven't already done so, please try the following steps and let me know if the issue persists:
- Force quit the Fitbit app.
- Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
- Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
- Reboot your mobile device.
- Reinstall the Fitbit app.
- Login using your account credentials.
Keep me posted.
